OK so it rained like shit for 2 days and i went golfing today on the nonrainy day on the corse i found libs well what i think it a triangleish cap... REALLY fragially like it ripped picking it ... all the right colors ect brused hardcor blue ish purple...and i have them not sitting in a paper bag still soggy and there is some darkish black/purple from brusing ..

i would definetly guess that they are shaggy manes..... without a picture its hard to say

not to mention your not hinting where in the hell u live so its hard to say if they even grow in your area....and plus i think manes are in the wrong season

plus you should wright up a proper mushroom id and post .

you get yelled at for not doing it so save yourself some trouble

i would throw it away, better sober than days in the hospital from liver failure

lol yeah thanks im new.. like i mean they are ina FD up condish to even eat. they smell sweet in all i wasnt gunna eat em... my stupid freind ate one liek an hour or two later he was fine and yeah im not the best ID person...im sorta shunned here for bring mushrooms about....and it wierd how i go mushroom hunting soo yeah lol im VERY limited on what i can do..im sorry tho i DO try and im very new

yeah it was like a goo incher to... he said he didnt feel anything.. after an hour soo i dont know i dont know alot on the length wise i just know u cna get a tummyache

if there manes, all hes gonna get is a bad taste in his mouth. actually, we pickem all the time camping and make omelette's with them when fresh. quite tasty when there young, but they go fragile black/purply and goey when older

no good at all, eating unidentified mushrooms is like playing Russian roulette, and there is no way anyone can id mushrooms on the info you gave, be careful

None of the libs I found ever bruised blue very heavily. Some blueish coloration at the base where there's fluffy mycelium on the stem, but really just a hint of blue. That doesn't mean that some libs can't really bruise blue though.

yeah thats how they where orginal but i put them ina bag and they sat in a polyester bag for about 12 hours soo i mean they could have rotted lol...but when i found then MI (Lower eastern) they tinted a blueish.....btw are allll libs anything that looks like a triangle or tib shape safe..will any kill u or put u in the hostple and how many would u have to eat

some mushrooms contain toxins that will literary rot you from the inside out,some will shut your nervous system down, or cause your face to swell up like a balloon, you may need new blood, liver and kidney to survive. many deadly, more poisonous, lots of look alikes. mushroom hunting is no joke! be careful, n do some research, ad good luck!

No. Do some research. There are about a zillion small mushroom species that many people think resemble ps. semilanceata. Some of them have conical caps.

Mushroom poisoning can take up to 2-3 days to start showing symptoms. Just thought you might want to know.

Tasting (i.e. chewing a tiny piece and spitting it out) will not make you sick. Eating just one specimen of a deadly species may definitely inflict serious and permanent damage.

i mean i live southern eastern MI..can somone give me a few lib cap looking msuhrooms names active or not.. it would be mighty helpful just to throw some names out there that might be close to the finding i was tiny and skiny had a triangle shape cap and a sweet smell

Listen, there are thousands of species that match your description. Some are edible, some are active, some are poisonous, some are deadly, some are nothing much at all. Some common species that unexperienced hunters think sometimes think are libs include members from the genera psathyrella (e.g. psathyrella conopilea), panaeolus (e.g. panaeuolus foenisecii) coprinellos (e.g. coprinellus micaceus) and conocybe (e.g. conocybe lactaea). However, in all cases, the characteristics don't quite match with those of ps. semilanceata.

An yes, even eating one small mushroom the size of a quarter may make you squirm and wish you were dead. In the worst case, it may cause permanent liver damage, only to be discovered during an autopsy because you died in a mysterious way after drinking only few beers more than you usually would. I hope that sufficiently discourages you from Id-ing this species by eating it, which would be just a plain fucking stupid thing to do.
