I went with less than an 1/4 tsp. in 250ml H2O. Colonization (clouding) was quick. It has worked well with both PF jars and rye grain inoculation. The best part is that you don't have to go thru spore syringes + u can store the suspension in the fridge and save germination time in future inoc.s.

Mycelium started forming in 2 days.
Used just under a teaspoon of honey in a pint jar of water.

I haven't used honey but I have used Malt Extract which has worked wonderful BTW. I don't think I'll ever prepare jars the "regular" way again. From now on Liquid Mycelim -> Jars is the way I'm going. Less hassle better results.

I've heard that it can last months if properly stored in a refrigerator, however to ensure full vitality and growth potential, after 5-7 days (near 100% colonization), I usually use it. This ensures that you get healthy, vigorous mycelium with little chance of contamination. It's not really that hard to plan a week in advance. I like to use the "freshest" possible ingredients (freshly taken spore prints, recently incubated mycelium, fresh organic ingredients, freshly prepared jars etc. etc.) This helps to eliminate contamination and mycelial runs are usually stronger and healthier...
