Transfering mycellium ??
    #7269772 -

Well a i have some mycellium growth from some mushroom butts,I took about 5-7 butts and put them into a cardboard container ,When a tin bottom and plastic top.I put the top on added just a little water. It has now been 24 hours and the myc has spread rythmaticly all over the manure/mushroom butts. Is there a way i can possibly trasnfer some of this growth to a jar of grans/corn ?

1.are you sure it is not acobweb??(smell like roting fruit)
2.when not...well try it.
3.if you try it put enough mycelium for fast colonisation(1/4 for expl.)

good luck!

the straw is here the problem for the transfere to grain.
im worry about it.
so....why not colonize pastezrized manure with it??
they are not so much risk of contam then with grain...or??
and its easy.

and your chunks are nothing about sterile anymore.
so sterile grain will fast give you the answer of your quest.
let it colonize first.
wenn fully colonized the shroom will produce natural antibiotics
and protect the whole culture.
than transfer to maure

please take composted manure.
the fresh one will not work because of the amoniac.
or cook it first....but it is a bit ugly.

Soooo!
1.waht kind of mush it is??
2.look for they grow parameter.
3.your dirty chunks will spoil the grain before they colonize
so you need a not so nutrient rich and sensytive substrat
4.if you know nothing abut home growing, check first the growing section
you will find a lot of answers.

i can't tell you nothing more so far....sorry!

Is it possible i can just take a tissue sample from the myc and transfer it into the grains? rather then just dumping all the nasty manure that has been outside into the grains? its cubes (gulf coast) picking loccaly  .BUT  the down side is that there was also a few copes in the batch so hopefully the cubensis myc will take over the cope myc.

first let colonize the stuff in your cup and in darkness by the right
temp.
then transfer the wohle thing not just a sample.
what you want is to colonize so fast as possible to prevent competitor
because they are surely there.
then once that your grain is colonized you can colonise other jars.
DO YOU ANDERSTAND NOW!!

The myc is really taking over,Healthy myc. Hopefully cobweb wont take over which seems to happen allot when taking colinized patties home from the field.Ill take a picture to show the progress of it,Id say its pretty much ready.I cant spot any forieng contams,How would i got about mixing it with the grain? just mix it in with a jar of sterile rye grains or birdseed or whatever
