pc problem?

my pc is only a few weeks old .
used five or six times

now it will not build up pressure.

leaking around lid.
took rubber ring out and put it back in still wouldn't build up.
any sugg?

Possibly lube the rubber seal with petroleum jelly where it mates to the lid and where it seals to the pan, reinstall it and see if that fixes it. Clean the seal off after every use if that works.

If all else fails return it and buy An All American http://www.wafco.com/cpproductlistings.html as it has no rubber seal. I use the 915 http://www.wafco.com/Specs/915.html and have found it to be a hi-quality product. Do some searching on the web as prices can differ by $100 or more for the same model. E-Bay has them on occasion too.

Walt,

If you can find an All American PC -- get it. They are the best -- built like a tank & dependable for a lifetime. A Raccoon I know has a 941 AA PC that is almost 30 years old & works as good as the day it was new. Try looking on eBay. Sometimes you can get great buys on an AA PC.

petroleum fixed my problem as well as changing burners.

I used silicone sealer on my rubber gasket..Works fine now.
