So ive been pasteurizing my CVG since I built a pasteurizer for gourmet mushrooms
What should i be pasteurizing at ?
Recently picked up the hobby again after a couple year hiatus and ive been running into some bacterial problems that im also trying to pin point
If CVG is basically idiot proof
Spawning tubs in open air isnt a problem
and 3 hours to PC 4-6 5lb grain bags is enough
use clean agar and sterile procedure which I figure all my petri dishes are coming out clean so my sterile procedure must be relatively on point
Where could this bacteria be coming from?

filters or inoculant is all it tends to boil down to once u have ruled out your grain prep, are the grain bags or production bags? make sure they are suited for grain and not production and other than that whats your agar recipe

I should be using the grain bags that have the smaller micron rating and my agar is just a straight MEA agar I got from a Shroom supply company

Iused to think my cultures were acceptable on agar, but I was wrong. Ended up with lots of trash. After that obviously comes spawn. One leads to the next and so on till you get them froots. How anal ate you about uniform growth on agar?

Normally I like to use only plates with full rhyzomorphoc growth but I haven’t been able to isolate a strain that great yet so I’ll admit my agar doesn’t have the best genetics while I search for a better one but from my experience it’s just mycelium on there and no bacterial growth
