So what IS the story with "bought" manure/dung versus fresh in regaurds to growing and fruiting? Is field picked poop required?

I posted a thread in the advanced cultivation forum regarding my recent experiment thats in the works with store bought manure. Basically Home Depot sells a "Organic Composted Steer Manure". This has obviously NOT been treated with fungicides because its colonizing rapidly. And if it were, it would colonize slow, if at all. I also posted some good pastuerization teks in there too. Theres one on just using an ice-chest for pastuerizing. Also I haven't had any problems with straw getting contaminated either using my pastuerization method. Its just about the same for straw as it is for manure. The one thing that I recommend doing in mixing the manure down 50/50 with vermiculate. Straight manure tends to "clump" not allowing the mycellia network to run through it very fast. Go check out my posts in Advanced cultivation from the last few days...they should clear things up for you a little bit =)
