Hello! and Any luck in Michigan?
    #722151 - 07/04/02 09:55 AM (14 years, 5 months ago)

Hello everyone. I am obviously new here. I have a little experience with shrooms in the past. I have decided to actively persue growing and also maybe some hunting of shrooms. Has anyone had any luck finding active shrooms in Michigan? Particularly Mid-Michigan? There are a lot of cow fields around here but I haven't ventured into many of them. I'm not sure if they even grow in Michigan. Sorry if this is a dumb question.

Hello fellow michiganian- or michigander, or ... who the fuck cares...
I currently live in Mid Michigan, on the banks of the Red Cedar,(hehe) and I have had NO luck, but I know there's gotta be some out there. On my hunts, I have found only poisonous shrooms. I would like to get a group of enthusiasts together sometime and go for a walk, I have a lot of good places in mind =) My friend found some non-cubensis (but still good and potent) types around here, but I have yet to.

RIP Matt, your friendship and your contributions to the world of fungi will be missed. Unfortunately we never got to hunt together.

nope, i look in well fertilized and watered lawns. they tend to be confused with "lawn mower mushrooms" but i know they are not. You just need to keep focus and like to find any type of mushroom. Once you are happy with just finding anything i garuntee the right types will open up and show themselves.
