Would it be possible to...

Would it be possible to introduce a psilly strain outdoors. Say If I were to produce ground that they would flourish in.... inject the ground and then cover in a casing layer so it would colonize? My buddy has a large amount of land at his disposal and there are areas where shrooms grow like crazy....and there are areas that are so remote...only we would know where they were. We have no "known" strains in this state.

I am trying the same thing I took a syringe to a rotting tree stump I have in the woods I just checked it today and there are pins.

You said that you noc'd up a tree with psillys and you got pins... what strand and how long did it take... weather conditions where you live. I am in Kansas and we have weather like a pregnant women's hormones. One minute it is hot and no air current no cloud in the sky. 30 minutes later it is hailing and tornadoes are touching down in Wichita and all hell is breaking loose. The sky turns green and an hour later the ground is wet and life goes back to normal.


Plus the winters can be really harsh.

hey matits, im in kansas too, and im planning for an outdoor grow as well. i will just prepare alot of spawn, and dig a good sized (probably 3 ft by a foot and a half between 2 trees or something) hole about 6 inches deep and dump in the spawn and a bunch of manure (i might even let it all colonize inside, then bury it outside). water when its dry, and just let it grow. it will bloom when conditions are right.

someone told me here that it gets too cold for a permanent bed in kansas tho. let me know how it works out for you this summer. hey man do you ever go to wakarusa?

Use spawn...the % of it actually colonizing are slim as wind, environment, sun especially may kill them...Live mycelium is what you want.
