One of the strangest murders in American history * 1

Several years ago a pizza delivery man was called on a delivery to a remote site. He was unwillingly accosted and a homemade bomb was placed around his neck. He was ordered to go rob a bank. He was handed a homemade gun and he was given a set of instructions by the perpetrators on how to rob the bank and how to defuse the bomb around his neck.

This pizza delivery man never made it. The police apprehended him outside of the bank. The man explained the situation and the bomb squad was called. The bomb went off before they got there.

I used to live up there where this happened. I guess an indictment is being handed down. They finally caught one of the people involved.

Utterly bizarre. Whoever made the bomb and the homemade gun obviously had some explosives and machining experience, i.e. he was no dummy.

Also, why didn't the cops call the bomb squad sooner? Why didn't one of the cops take off his bulletproof vest and put it between the bomb and the dude's chest (that might have saved him)?

I totally remember that case!!!  In fact the Cops were being dicks Thinking the guy was bullshitting them and treated him like a suspect :crankey:instead of a victim.

It might be a strange way to rob a bank but not the most strangest in American history.
How about the hi-fi murders in Ogden Utah in the 70's. Forcing someone to drink draino right before they killed them, and how about all the killers that raped people before they ate thier bodies?
