Folding@home question
    #7147963 - 07/08/07 07:44 PM (16 years, 9 months ago)

I installed Folding@home yesterday and it finished its first WU and is working on the second one. It downloaded the new WU fine but hasn't sent the results for the first one back, it says "could not connect to work server(results)". How do I get it to connect?

It might have been busy at the other end. If it successfully downloaded the next work unit, it's connected.

I haven't managed to complete a wu yet- and I have a fairly new computer. I'm surprised you've done one in a day, what kind of machine are you running?

f@h works pretty flawlessly.

as long as you properly have your firewall setup and dont have peergaurdian running it should upload the results fine. post your log file and we'll see whats up.

It is running on my laptop, it's a HP 9225. It has a Tution TL-60 processor (2 ghz)and a 2 gigs of memory. I put it on my desktop but it is running slower on it, not sure why it has a Athlon 3800+ overclocked to 2.2 ghz.

Its definitely a problem on your end. The server checked out ok.

Its either your firewall giving you problems,a router or you may have use IE settings checked, which shouldnt be.

I had the use IE settings box checked, unchecked it and it still didn't work. Then I closed the program and reopened it again. Wallah, it went thru. Thanks LouisSkolnick.
