Chat question

All right so I know I'm a dumb ass when it comes to some of these things with computers but can someone explain the whole chat/IRC thing to me. As I understand it there are several channels or chat areas. I wanted to get to the cultivation area and they just told me to go to something like /join#cultivation well where the hell do I type it. I don't even know where Im supposed to be?

Hehe. Hey Ripple.
What you wanna do, assuming you have a pc, is go to www.mirc.com and download the latest version of mirc.
Then you want to install it. Then open it. Then click on the options button on the top. Then click "add".
In the description block type 'Shroomery' Then in the server block type shroomery.org Then in the port block type 1337
Then click add
Then pick a nick and e-mail and put them in the appropriate blocks. E-mail can be made up.
Then click ok.
Then click connect.
When fully connected, which will take a few seconds, type in the block at the bottom of the screen type /j #cultivation
also, if you want /j #shroomery and /j #esc

Chat is like 50 times more addictive than the message boards... The boards are like cocaine and chat is like crack. Do you really want to make that move?
