Best hydration tek while fruiting?

OK. Cakes in the fruiting chamber look dry. They are currently in the first flush with the first mushies to be harvested today. Temps holding at 78F, rH at 90%+ Using perlite humidification with no misting for a while (thought maybe the rh was too high) So what is the best way to get some moisture back in while fruiting? Misting? Injecting? Straws? Couldn't really find a straight answer.

Set your cakes on a tray of damp vermiculite.

You can inject 10 cc of water with a steril syringe into the center of the cake after 1st flush. You can dunk them after 1st flush, which i suggest you do. You can use the double-ended casing tek but that one won't do such a good job...

I followed Roadkill's advice (and like what Fd3000) and injected 10cc into the center of my cakes. They were really dried. I think this is a really good technique. Plus Road was saying that he gets an average of 6.5 grams dried off each cake. Not bad if you ask me. Id like to get that much off a cake. But I think he injects until they pin, and then injects every other day. It didnt damage my shrooms either. I think its pretty safe. And they get a hell of a lot of water! Straw tek is the same. The good thing about these is that you dont have to wait till the flush is done. You constantly give them water. I think this is better then dunking after each flush. Plus Im afraid of dunking......

You can inject sterile water into the cakes at birth. then inject sterile water every other day. just inject the water into several places in the cake. I have gotten 8 dry grams off a cake several times.....this way.
The inner resevoir works great too.
You can also dunk the cakes.
When you get larger flushes off the cakes on the 1st and 2nd flushes you will probably only get 3 flushes.....I never try for a 4th flush cause the cakes are pretty well spent.

I dunked/cold shocked them for 24 hrs before birthing. Pins took about 8 days to appear. I thought maybe the humidity was too high for them to start pinning so I removed some perlite and set them on foil (they were on top of perlite before) This dried them a bit, maybe I got a little impatient Anyway, things seem to be going well now, though the fruits are awfully tiny, but I understand that's normal for B+ Thanks again everyone for the answers!

Used the strw tek on these cakes with good success. Most cakes made it to a fourth sometimes fifth flush. Thanks again!
