Cakes used for Straw Tek after 1st Flush?

Is there any reason why PF Style Jars cant be used for straw tek after their first flush?

Im sure this wouldn't produce as many as using freshly birthed cakes but does anyone have any idea how much less it will produce?

1 more thing: does anyone have the address of the temporary board for mycotopia?

i know how to help. i too remember my first time looking for fresh cakes.. there is a company called tastykake that supplies quality goods at a reasonable price. here is the catch.. they are only availble in the tristate area.. which is where i live... the tastykake company will not ship any products across the usa because they do not believe that they will get there fresh and do not support that type of distrubition. if you dont believe me look it up on the net. i suggest you find somene that lives around here to fed ex you some super fast... dont mention it .. i'm here to help

Actually my friend already has cakes but he was using the standard PF tek for the first flush. After seeing someone elses setup using the straw tek, he decided that he would like to try it. He wants to take the cakes he has currently and use them after their first flush is over (maybe a week from now)

That was my question.

no reason that it wouldn't work..... assuming that u use reasonably clean/sterile methods.... HOWEVER, why would you just birth cakes when you can case?...... hmmmmm? casing=more shrooms

Actually I said standard PF tek but they are cased... so not quite standard :)
