Look at it this way...do you know of any couple that has managed to stay together for a long time, they have remained faithful to one another, and they still like each other? Maybe a few but not the vast majority of people.

There is proof right there that all of this monogamy and "soul-mate" crap is just plain bunk. It doesn't work out in the real world. So, don't allow yourself to become fully invested in relationships. Now, I'm not saying never give a shit about a woman in your entire life...but don't put your heart all out there. If you do so, it will get stepped on harder than a little rabbit in a fetish crush/stomp video.

yeah, i think i am in the same predicament as you. found some nasty phone text messages on my girls phone. i confronted her about it, and she gave me some half-assed excuse. for the time being i believe her, but yeah...i am ultra suspicious now.

I went through the EXACT same scenario. I looked at my girl's phone and I saw this:

from some dude. I say, "What's this?". She says, "Oh, it's just some guy being an idiot". Later I found out that she fucked him and I found this graphic journal entry that talked about her "wanting to give her soul to him" and shit.

I'm telling you...you just can't trust most of 'em. I guarantee you if you do some digging you'll find out that she's getting drilled by this dude who sent the messages.
