cold shock , no! they just take about 2 weeks till they pin. The biggest problem newbies have is that they think there doing it wrong and fuck with the cakes every day, this only casues the cakes to go into remission till the enviroment is stable. So what im saying is not to mess with them, if you got the cake to fully colonize then your done with the hard part, just let them sit. they will grow. No cold shocking, trust me you dont need it. believe me, leave the cakes alone, look at them once a day thats all. trust my words, www.fanaticus.com/7cakes.jpg . thats what will happen if you dont fuck around with them too much,
Good Luck

I have a different question about cold shocking:

Are you supposed to cold shock right after making the casing?

Or do you cold shock after the casing has recolonized to induce pinning??

Another dimension,
Like i said, i wouldnt cold shock, but if you do wait till the casing is colonized. You only might need to cold shock if you incubate at 80+ which not many ppl do, at room temp no cold shocking is needed
