Unemployment Insurance(i assume your in canada right?) isn't to bad.  It's fairly easy to get, especially with your situation(it's a gaurantee almost) and depending on how much you've paid into it, you can make upwards of 740 every two weeks(that's the max EI will pay to anyone).

I'm making 1480 a month and it's just barely enough to live on.  I'm used to making 3000 a month, so it's quite a change.  But if I was to go get a 12/h job, after taxes, I would make the same...actually a little less, than I am now doing nothing

I'm in Illinois.
I worked full time, working 6 days a week. Plus I'd work like 45 hours one week and then the next work like 38 and he wouldn't pay me theovertime for that first week, he put those extra hours in the second week and kinda even it out.
