Tremendous tree in my town...

So yeah I'm just gonna copy and paste what I put in Mystical, religion, blah forum from the Giant Trees thread...

btw, I really like trees...

Here's my necklace..


I was going to class today and I went by this park... I've been by it before but I looked more closely and saw this TREMENDOUS TRUNK beneath the leaves... I had to investigate.. Apparently it's a national monument and one of the oldest Live Oak trees in North America.

This is what one would see from the street. Looks like a bunch of trees together or a huge bush.

so fucking gnarly!


You can see the wires they use to ground the lightning rods on the tree. (kinda neat)




I had to crawl up it. Found this little puddle that serves to breed mosquitos.

The Angel Oak is a Southern live oak tree located in Angel Oak Park, on Johns Island, South Carolina. It is estimated to be over 1400 years old, standing 20 m (65 feet) tall, 2.47 m in diameter, and the crown covers an area of 1,580 m² (17,000 square feet). Its longest limb is 27 m (89 feet) in length. The tree and surrounding park have been owned by the neighboring city of Charleston since 1991.

In Tombstone, AZ you can witness the Largest Rose Bush. It's pretty badass.
