Boiling: how much potency loss?

What do you guys think about the amount of potency lost in fresh mushrooms when boiled, lid on for 10 minutes, then straining the juice, pitching the husks and drinking it?
I havent ever done it another way and have heard everything from:
1. psilocybin is destroyed by boiling 2. some potency is lost 3. a lot of potency is lost 4. lid on, short boils lose no potency
Is there ANY reliable information on this?
Thanks in advance!

Some people say they lose a shitload of potency but I know they still work when I boil them. I did some like 4 days ago, had a bunch to begin with, stuffed them all in a stocking and tied it at the top. Boiled some water, threw the stocking with shrooms in there and kept smashing it untill all the shrooms were pretty much just flat. I never turned the water off once. I let them boil for about a hour and half untill most of the water was completly gone and all I was left was with this blackish/purplish syrup looking stuff. 5 people drank 1/2 cup full and we tripped ballz. I would say a easy level 3 border line level 4.

I boil them b/c its alot easier than having to eat them. I cant stand the taste fresh, or dry, so I just boil them down and chug the nasty juice really quick and then its done and over with. All thats left after that is waiting. I mix it with powerade though. The one called jagged ice. Masked the taste pretty good.

you dont need to boil the water, you just need pretty hot water, you dont want the temp to really get above 120 degrees. Just keep the burner on a lower heat and it works very good and i found it still keeps a good potency level. Try just eating them fresh or dry with ranch dressing, it really covers the taste of the mushrooms.

Psilocine is water soluable and psilocybine is not. your body has to convert the psilocine into psilocybine before you get off..
You lose over half the high when making a tea. However, you get off in ten minutes and you come down in a few hours formthe intense rush of visual effects which occur when taken in the form of liquids.
If you eat the shrooms slowly in a twenty minute period then you have a high for from four to six hours not for a few like with tea.
Have a good one.

I have found the best method to consume the sacred fungi (either wet or dry) is to blend thoroughly with OJ (no more than a cup and a half worth of liquid) and drink quickly.
It does a pretty good job on masking the taste and boosts the body?s vitamin C for the ensuing depletion brought on by the mushroom.
The method is simple, and when combined with at least a 4-8 hour fast, the effects typically last 6+ hours.
It is equally important to take a calcium supplement AFTER the experience. The mushroom depletes calcium from muscle tissue. That is why some people experience muscle cramping at higher level dosages. However, calcium taken prior to an experience will actually retard the effects.
