Who Trains?

hey, I'm from Santa Cruz California, I practice Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Submission Grappling, Boxing, Muay Thai, and some Judo, I also have a Black Belt in Taekwondo, I was wondering, who trains in this forum? and in what martial arts? what rank and how long? also who here is interested in mixed martial arts?

might have a little better luck in the sports forum. but yeah.

ive done a little submission grappling. and wrestled in high school.. idk smoking weed is more important to me than mma.

i did a little club judo a few semesters back because i wrestled all through high school and i transfered a lot of the same skills. but i've kinda grown away from organized sports and training after high school.

I have a brown belt in shotokan karate and have done some boxing and grappling.

I'm just starting to get back into the world of martial arts and truly feel it's one of my callings.

I'm going away for a year, goign to be bouncing around a lot, but when I get back I plan to pursue it to the full degree.

I would like very much to get my black belt in either shotokan or kyokushin karate, but more than anything I want to find a good BJJ school and spend as long as it takes to get my black belt.

There is a real lack of bjj school is canada, and western canada to be specific, and with a black belt, I'd like to open my own dojo.

I'm right now half assed training with some mma guys. Just some basic grappling and whatnot. I was wrestler in highschool and am somewhat being able to roll with these guys

I have a brown belt in judo, but haven't practiced in over 3 yrs.

Love me some mma. Fedor and Karo are two of my favorite fighters, gotta support the judo guys, lol.

I want to start BJJ but it's an hour drive for me in any direction. We have a Pedro Sauer affiliate in town, buy he's currently teaching kickboxing.

yea, deffinatly, I've done submission grappling since i was six, but just 2 years ago I started BJJ, the gi really threw me off, but I'm on track right now haha

If I end up in the city I think I will be ending up in after my trip, it's going to be an hour and a half drive - 2 hour drive ONE WAY...so I'm gonna have to have the money to do that.

But it's a sacrifice I'll make

Looks like a great school, all the gracie barra schools bring up very tough well rounded guys, its a good choice
