is suicide worth it?
    #7070681 -

just curious, those that have done it do you feel it was worth it?

those who love me, use me to the extent that it causes me harm, and they realize it causes me harm, but they use me anyways to fullfill there needs and wants.

it seems, everything that has been given to me, was given only in an attempt to get something in return.

I've been used my entire life to fulfill the needs of others, and all i see in my future is more and more of the same, its the circle of life i soppose:to be used.

its probably worth it, but only to yourself, you'll notice all the wasted moments you could have had if its a slow death, you'll notice how precious life is, and how much you hurt everyone by doing this, youll remember orgasms and sunshine, blue skies, and clean air, all the good things. peace

I'm pretty sure people who have committed suicide can't read this forum or answer you, probably because they are dead...

You can't really ask someone who has committed suicide if it was worth it, brah. Dead people can't answer questions. (*Please don't bring any paranormal bullshit to me because of that statement.)

If you have to do something like that at least do it the fuck away from people, and make it the least bit messy as possible. Nobody wants to clean up your mess, and certainly least of all your family.

yea one of my friends works at a cleaning place and they were called to clean up after some dude blew his brains all over the place. They were not legally allowed to clean it so they didn't but he said it was gross.

They can read, they just don't answer very often, mostly a word here or there "through" someone else.

at any rate I wonder what would be a better suicide a nice slow death or quick? It might be kinda nice to feel those "good" things that a person hasn't felt or thought of in a long time.

Some lives, to me, are simply not worth living. However, I do not believe that yours is one of these. I could give you a whole shpiel on the beauty of life, but I won't. You know if you've reached the point of no return. My only advice is to be convicted with your decision. Spend YEARS thinking it over.

Only the weak and pathetic would make such a generic statement.

Theres more to consider than just the obvious.

But not all the weak and pathetic kill themselves.

No, it's not worth it. The big things bothering you now will be not so big a year or two from now. Good times will return, then bad times, then good times again. It cycles like that. As long as you keep playing the life game, you can hope for a happy ending. If you off yourself in the middle, then you know make it end on a sour note.

No, you'll have plenty of time to be dead but only so little time to live. And living friend isn't all pleasure, but it's an experience and the only one like it you're bound to have. I've certainly had my share of suicidal moments but they were temporary and they have passed. To truely live one should do what makes them happy without harming anyone in the process. This is my philosophy on life, at least for now.

Yes, under the right circumstances. If I was terminal, I'd off myself. If I got bored with life, I'd probably off myself too. Hunter S. did influence my stance on it, but that doesn't mean that I don't totally agree with it. There comes a point where life isn't worth it anymore, youth is gone, and everything is same old.

If your old and sick, maybe.

If your young and dumb, no. You really never know the treasures that come later in the extraordinary journey of life. :heartpump::heartpump:

And trust me, there is lots of treasure to go around.

Also, the people that love you, are presumably the people that raised you. The people that diverted their own lives to feed, water, and change you. Is it really that odd, that they might want a little something in return?

The more you tend to think about yourself, the more depressed you will get. Try thinking about others for a while. What do you expect from others? What do you give to others? Are they truly free of conditions?

We all need each other in this crazy place - don't bail out like a little bitch. :heartpump:

Usually suicide just means amplifying your pain a thousand fold and passing it on to people you care about. When you're a homeless junkie with AIDs who just found out his wife cheated on him with his kids, suicide is "worth it". Other than that, it usually isn't.

If you really don't have the will to live, doing so just for the sake of other people isn't fair, but I don't believe you'd even be posting this if you didn't have the will to live.

That's really just one way of seeing things. Everything is inter-connected and mutually dependent. You're just seeing that through a negative lens. 99.9% of the time, suicide is just not the right choice.

I have no idea what you're rambling on about in this thread (beyond the first sentence anyway)
so yeah - I didn't even bother reading all the replies

but to get back to your original question at hand:

I have this 'theory' that people who commit suicide are actually punished by having to keep re-living the same life again and again until they learn NOT to fucken kill themselves

and I can go on and on about the 'why's of this one...but it's not important really

I'll let you kill yerself and learn that one the hard way instead  :smirk:

I have personally attempted suicide by eating 50 nyquil tablets. (the big mother fuckers, also i was 16 at the time). It was during winter so now whenever winter comes around and it gets cold i get those same old memories and they haunt me. Or whenever i listen to KoRns CD life is peachy (which is what i listened to as i walked around waiting for the nyquil to kill me) i have flash backs. Trust me its not worth it bro. Like if you had a slow one soon into it you would regret it, i promise you that. I regretted it soon after i had popped them all and i stumbled to my friends house who was smart enough to keep his cool around me and honestly probably saved my life. But i saw all the pain it can cause dude and its just not worth it. Plus you dont go out with any kind of legacy cept another dude who killed himself. Just endure whatever may be going on in your life right now cuz whatever it is you will get through it and you will be glad you did.
