Not all cubensis will bruise blue if properly handled and includes especially ones in a pasture, rice paddie or paddock or meadows, or even from elephant shit.

You could have one blue or none at all or squeeze them while you pick them and get much bluing and lose of psilocine.

Here are some fresh dried and drying shrooms with no bluing.

I also have in vitro dried images which also show no bluing because of proper handling.



Ants chewed into these caps below over night as they dried in my bungalow on Samui andas they were drying they never showed any bluing in the caps or stems.




I might also point out since someone brought this subject up. Not all psilocybine mushrooms will display bluing, sometimes ever those which are heavy in psilocine.

Liberty caps might have one in every 1,000 or more with a little bluiny, but generally show no bluing at all. potent at 1-2 dried grams. Panaaeolus subbalteatus sometimes displayslight bluing at the base of the stems, sometimes completely, but rare, all blue stems and usually the red-brown coloration of the stems of the Pan subbs hide any bluing. I have also had specimens of P. pelliculosa, P. cyanescens and P. azurescens with no bluing showing and many times blue ringers will not have a blue ring on them or even bluing in their stems.

So there are cubes with no visible bluing in them but still potent as cubes at 1-5 gram dosages.
