Help me be calm...

Let me give you a little break down about me.
Im not one of those cool peole with tons of calm. Im not a calm mofo, i can admit that.I come from a home with the typical crazy mother who just lacks common sense is just says stupid shit. The way I have learned to deal with her was just get yell, which is sad because I hate yelling but that is the only way I learned communicate with her. (now this bite me in the ass)

Now im a 22 year old m male, who has no patients with people and I guess I raise my voice often to other people including my girlfriend. I can pretty much give two fucks about everyone else but honestly I don’t want to hurt my girlfriend. She has even noticed my short temper and my short patients.

So here is my question. What pharmaceutical drug would help me stay calm more often and not be like on edge when I get pissed off, because of some stupid question of someone pissing me off with something else?

Im to fucking jumpy and need to have more patients and be more calm, instead of snapping/yelling.

Find a drug that makes you happy, then it wont matter what people say. You can try benzos that mellow you out so you wont care to yell. These include ativan xanax valium and so on. Your better off asking a doctor and when he recommends counseling or therapy tell em to fuck off just to prove you need the pills even more.

If anything Xanax. But I'd shy away from using pharms to alter your behavior. Xanax may work, but not permanently. Using it to stay calm will lead you down a very fucked up road to dependence. Read up on meditation/ heavy breathing. No drug can fix your problems forever.

Not to be blunt, but while drugs might mellow you out (some good bud is a beautiful thing for chilling) I think you would be better served talking to a good therapist and working through your anger instead of slapping band-aids on it with drugs.

I'm a fan of most drugs, and the many resoundingly positive things they can and DO do for so many real, honest, and good people. All of that is predicated on the ability to use them as a tool to enhance the good in your life, and to learn lessons to make you a better person.

You seem intelligent enough to know you have some issues, and what they are-- that's a great thing-- don't waste your time trying to find a magic pill-- you already know what you don't like about yourself, and what things stress you out-- work on those things sober, smoke a little kind bud to take the edge off perhaps, and find someone in the mental health arena who can help you work through the stuff that is holding you back--
Most drugs work best when applied to a person already centered and conscious of themselves and happy in life-- otherwise, they mask problems and ultimately can make them worse.

Yup! This is something you can master on your own. When you start feeling a fuse about to blow, before you say a word, take ten, very slow and very deep breaths. Focus only on the breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth and on counting them.

Oxygen is the drug you seek.

Try it even now and you'll get a taste of the quick calming and relaxing effects.

Drugs are your only way out, buddy. Unless you're just waiting for the day when something climbs to the very tip of that sensitive little nerve of yours and makes you so angry you do something. Something bad. I know what that feels like. A moment of rage that strikes fear even into yourself, but you can't stop. For some people it lasts a half a second, for others, minutes. But the longevity really doesn't matter, because in that short moment you could kill. And thats what scares you. You know better, but you have no control. You don't have time to get a therapist or seek "professional" help. This shit could happen any second of any day if the conditions are right. Buy some weed. Every time I get tooth grinding anger, I fire up a bowl as soon as possible, and the next thing I know I'm bullshitting with the person whom I was considering bludgeoning the skull of. Don't take peoples moral bs about "Don't look to drugs". Thats an idea that obviously doesn't apply to everyone. Keep your cool, take a hit and just think about how ridiculous the crime you were about to commit would have been.

My favorites are weeping willows, which aren't really weeping at all. They're very wispy, witty and will dance in the breeze with you. Nothing like a tree that wants to dance with you. lol that sounds like me ......... I say go with the flow..... if something your girlfriend says pisses you off and you know you probably got more upset thatn you should have but yet you refuse to say sorry for it.... does this happen to you?


I say go with the flow. Hell if it wasn't for my short patience with people I would have never been able to get rid of one of my gf's friends. This damn female was a blues and xanax addict and a f*ckin thief. My gf always gave her chances. Screw that!!!!! Saying I love you after doing you wrong doesn't make things right.

If it wasn't my short patience then I would have never made her friend get naked at gun point inside the house to reveal the money she stole out of my wallet .

I say follow you instinct .. stick with it. If I didn't have a short patience do you know how many people woul try to bullshit me over? Be you and don't be sorry for it. And don't depend on a drug to help you.... that would just cloud your judgement

I'm serious this damn girl looked at me straight in the eyes and said "I never took 40 dollars from you"

(40 dollars is what I was missing from my wallet)


Then has the nerve to ask my gf that I did say 40 dollars . And my gf sitting there about to cry not believing whats going on. I swear if her friend was a guy I would have pistol whipped him right there just for the sheer blatent stupidity of the comment. Telling you addicts will do anything. Never trust them.

You may or may not want this advise....
Counseling
Assessment for disorders which trigger anger (they'll prescribe what you need)
herbal tea like chamomile
meditation/positive messages to self

NEVER yell at your mother...tell her you refuse to speak to her till she speaks calmly herself...she won't want that and will comply after a few walk-outs/hang-ups...
Whisper instead of yell....it does two things...it brings you out of the "Fight or Flight" heart pounding mode and it freaks out the person you're annoyed with.
The other choice is do potentialy dangerous stuff without direction, get hooked, end up in rehab or arrested for pulling a gun on someone for $40 or something....
You have the right to remain silent....for me, that's the hardest (and bravest) choice of all! Then chill with some weed and some really up music like the Dead....NO rap..I put a 'c' in front of that...it's a downer...too angry...stirs ya up to much.
As a teacher I must add a minor point compared to the rest..that patience is with a 'c' too. So is Chill and cannabis for that matter!
