Possible Print TEK

According to the Magic Mushrooms Growers Guide you make a print by putting the cap in a sterile jar then add sterile water and cover with a sterile lid. It is now ready to be uptaken in the syringe for innocculation. Has anyone tried this? Is there any truth or reliability in this TEK? If so this would be a wonderfully easy way to be self sufficient. (Obviously trading spores would be difficult but easy as far as perpetuating you farm)

I dont think you have the procedure correct in your post. You dont put the cap and water in the jar at the same time.

theres lots of good teks out there...the ones in the faq being among the best.

I didn't mean add water to the cap. I meant get the print on the bottom of the jar, remove the cap and then add steril water to the spores in the jar. Any thoughts? I have read all the FAQ but this seems like a much more sensible and easier TEK. Thanks

It works

Variables--how clean the cap is, how clean the jar is, how clean the air is when you print, how clean the water is, how clean the manipulations are. Pretty forgiving in regards to each, though, easy to half-ass.

This is pretty much the best way that ive seen. i have not tried it yet but cant see why it would fail...by far the easiest

I take the basic sterile procedures when making a print. ( wipe container(s) with alcohol etc..Roadkills way is simple but effective. ) Nothing else. I haven't had a contam yet. (about a year and a half).
