When you report a post, what exactly happens?

Do moderators basically divvy up the reported posts?  Is it a nuisance with people always reporting movable thread's or do mod's appreciate the extra feedback.  I always fee like I'm just bugging the mods whenever I green light an inappropriate thread.  :confused:

I do enjoy aiding in keeping these forums enjoyable, so let me know what's up!

If at least one of the forum's mods is online, then a PM goes out to all the forum's mods. If none of the forum's mods are online, a PM goes out to ALL the mods and admins. The first person to handle it can click a link in the PM to delete it from everyone else's inbox. Each thread can only be reported once. As for whether it's annoying or not, you'd have to ask the mods but it is part of the job...

Well, actually it will only send the notification to all moderators if you specifically click to make it happen, something about an emergency notification or what have you.

I personally appreciate any and all feedback regarding my forum, as it is everyone's forum and the more I know about what everyone thinks and feels about this or that, the more capable I am of acting in the forum's interests.

Some moderators might get bothered by it, but they probably shouldn't be moderators if so. Before, you could only notify moderators of one post, but could notify them of another post in that thread if there was another concern. I personally wish this was still possible. There could be more than one concern in a thread and its tedious for a user to have to start pming moderators about it. Users who are trying to report the same thing will click THAT post and see it is already reported and leave it at that.

We should take that back to the way it was. :wink:
