    #6980782 -

I cant believe i found this Panaeolopsis. Sadly it was eaten tonight with the rest of the frenzy of mushrooms. (Theyre in the subbalteatus Thread.)

Im gonna search for a lot more ofthese. If anyone needs samples for research PM me.

Well i dunno about all the controversy with them exactly but i guess we've been tryingto prove if they are active or not. I also remember reading that they are from ausrtalia. Good question a to why they are here, i dont really know but i guess thats why people want to find panaeolopsis nirimbii.

There are actually two "Balloon" species. The other one appears to be some sort of bluing conocybe and it is cultivatable and sclerotia forming. Both are macroscopically very similar but very different microscopically.

Subbedhunter420,

I PM'd you the other night telling you to save any bluing specimens for Workman, for furthur anaylsis..

Also, in your picture i see no bluing. It is so hard most of the time to capture the bluing in photographs..

And i am also working on adding southern California's subbalteatus to the list here at the shroomery, i just ran into to some technical problems but i promise it will be up eventually. As Alan Rockefeller said, i may need to start a whole new topic for adding species to this list.

Keep shroomin,
GG

Is this a little better for you to see the bluing?
