mono tub?

scuse this stupid question but i have read a lot of post talking about "mono tubs" but i cant found a definition of what is; is a FC with holes filled with polyfill?

It's not explicitly stated in the post there, so for clarification, it's where (typically) rye or wild bird seed is spawned to a bulk substrate, dumped in a tub like you see there, and usually cased.

well the seed is usually mixed in with say poo in the monotub, right? then it's left to colonize, and then cased. it all happens in the same tub as far as i know.
