I tried two methods. The cranberry method and the alcohol extraction method. What a waste of good shrooms. These shortcut methods that don't require the right chemistry equipment just didn't work for me. I'll never waste my shrooms like that again.

Extraction using alcohol works great...but it's a waste when dealing with fruiting bodies. Used on mycelium though, it just about doubles the yield of psilocybin in any substrate. (Of course, you're also extracting the alkaloids from whatever substrate you're using, but I don't think straw\birdseed\rice\rye ever hurt anyone).
