Mint dreams

I currently have three types of mint growing, licorice, orange, and chocolate, and I picked like 10 leaves, rolled them into a ball (after washing) and chewed them up before bed.  Well, I can't say if it was placebo or real, but i had some decently detailed dreams with much better recall than usual.  I have a Calea plant on order, so ill be trying that too, and some mugwort that I'm growing right now.  Anyway, on to the dream:

On and off for the past few weeks ive been doing things like asking myself if i was in a dream while i was awake, and looking at the clock twice to see if the time changed, and both of these came up in the dream.  The sad thing is, both methods didn't convince me enough to make it a lucid dream :tongue: 

I wrote everything i remembered down on paper so i could keep it for later, and I'll write what I wrote later, but i have to get ready for my highschool graduation right now...

My dad keeps insisting that the same thing happens to him. Did you take 10 leaves altogether, or 10 leaves from each plant? I can chew up some chocolate mint once it's a little better established, and I'll let you know if it does anything.

I have Lemon Mint, Lemon Balm, Apple Mint, spearmint, peppermint, beebalm, annise hyysop, and one or two other mint varieties.
They are great herbs,.

Have you heard of chamomile? I just finished a 500ML fine vodka tincture with lemon balm and spearmint and chamomile and let me tell you, the power of herbs in concentration is multiplied!


Ps- it sounds like mushrooms have been used by you recently.

I'd guess mushrooms and pot, it tends to act like that on people.

Let me know if you have any questions, as I did not touch on the dreams at all, though I am an expert

Could be the weather too. For the early part of the summer, I alwas start to have some really lucid dreams. It gets to the point where I'm not really sure if something actually happened, or I dremed it.

Fortunately, I'm not prone to nightmares.

next time you think you might be in a dream, instead of looking at the clock, look at your hands. Try and think of that all through the day, when/if you do it in a dream, you can go much deeper into your dream and it will help you go "lucid".

no shrooms, wasnt high for a few hours before sleep.

have chamomile plants in same planter, and i took 10 leaves total, but i have like 10 different mint plants, and there is more coming up for some reason, as if it drops little clones off itself? anyway, yeah ill tell more about the dream when i get home, it was interesting to say the least.

They send out runners. I'd say to run down to a garden store and buy 10 large nursery style pots. Then cut the bottoms out and bury them in the dirt around the mint plants.

If you don't, you'll be as sorry as the Starfleet at Wolf 359 after encountering the Borg. Because the mint will assimilate your lawn.

@Turntable: Go to a garden center or nursery. They have mint growing out of every bodily orifice.

well i actually got my chocolate and orange mint hybrid cuttings from the free germaplasm site http://www.ars-grin.gov/npgs/acc/acc_queries.html

this is what I wrote when I woke up from the dream:

  "I was in a cave crawling with my classmates from school, but i only had my boxers on.  It was some kind of obsticle course and we were trying to figure out how to get past this one stage.  Then one of the girls in my class asked me, "what if you tripped acid here?".  I guess I thought it'd be freaky... 

Then I found myself on a school bus that was jumping up and down as it went down this street near my house.  There were like magical creatures outside of the window, like trees and dogs in the middle of the road everywhere, and at one point I told myself that it had to be a dream, so I tried to make a fireball in my hand, but couldn't convince myself it was a dream enough to take control. 

Then I ended up at OfficeDepot trying to buy half-life 2: episode 2 for my brother, and for some reason they wouldnt sell it to me and i was getting pissed, so i said i was going to get in touch with the Better Business Bureau and then went outside and knocked the window blinds onto the ground.  Outside was dark and stormy, and when i left the store i went to goto gamestop, but it was closed.  So I got a ride from someone in a truck, and started looking at the digital clock, double taking to see if the time changed, and it didnt, so i didnt realize i was in  a dream enough to go lucid once again... :frown:"

That's about it, can't wait to get my calea and mugwort :laugh:

I've got quite a bit of Mentha viridis growing (Spearmint)Maybe I'll give that lucid dreaming thing a try. Where did you get this idea from?

I've just heard that plants from the mint family can aid in dreaming. Make sure you aren't high when you fall asleep or it'll be harder to remember the dreams.

when you wake up try and remember your dreams before you even move or it will be harder
keep a dream journal and write them down first thing

teefizzle, just used that link to order some different mints. Might as well put our tax dollars to work! cpw1971.. Kratom DOES work, check your other thread. I've been using it for a year now.
