I dont see why not, if your has a stop cock I would put an alcohol soaked paper towel over it, but other than that, you should be fine as long as you keep it closed :smile:

I would use lysol instead of alcohol if you have it. Lysol will kill what alcohol wont. The top of your pressure cooker either has a stop cock or a mount where the weight is placed during use. Which ever you have you will not want the cooling cooker to suck in contaminated air, so you will want to wrap paper or cloth (soaked with lysol) around it and secure with a rubberband. Good Luck.

I push down on some valve thing that relieves the pressure faster.. I wait a while though.. usually about 15-20 minutes.. and it doesnt' crack the jars or anything.. then to cool the jars, I cover them with some mroe foil to be safe and stick them in the refridgerator.. Does anyone see anything wrong with that?
