how long do unsterilized jars keep?

how long can i wait after mixing substrate and putting it into jars before i pressure cook the jars?

why would you wanna wait? It only takes less then 5 minutes to put the jars in the PC. When your done mixing, put the sub in the jars, and put them in the PC. And just walk away for 45 minutes to an hour. I dont understand tho, you have the time to post a question here, but dont have the time to put jars in a PC?

Obviously, I can't do it right now. Otherwise I wouldn't have asked ...Will someone please answer my question? I cannot PC them now, which I PLANNED to, but I can a few hours from now. Is that gonna work?

I only have to wait about 3 and a half hours...My sister and father are around at the moment.
