This sounds pretty crazy, so I tried to look for an article about the event and couldn't find one, if you could point one out perhaps by using the town name or something, I just feel like I'm not searching specifically enough. The reason I wanted to find an article is because I believe you meant to say that possession has penalties similar to certain manslaughter situations or something, which I know we all think sucks, as drug possession shouldn't even be a felony, but possession of a drug certainly wouldn't get you charged with manslaughter.

It's not like you have to wait around for a whole weekend for mushrooms to come up after you've ingested them, it should not take more than an hour or so. I mean if you like to do coke a lot then whatever, to each his own, but if you are thinking that you will need something to pass the time I would recommend a movie or some music or read a book or pretty much anything besides ingesting other drugs (with the exception of smoking some marijuana). On the other hand, if you are just looking to get real fucked up then perhaps you are going about this the wrong way, and you should be eating more than 2g and you should take some E or something, maybe get real drunk first, but if you are looking for a genuine mushroom experience (which it looks like you are from your persistence with purchasing and educating yourself about mushrooms), then I would very much recommend NOT tainting the trip with some coke.

haha what? those shrooms were too weak, but then again i just did a bunch of coke cause after 2 hours i was like...fuck that lol. so im kind acoked up and i took some adderall lol. fuck. oh well i can get some lucy i guess.

Her name was Victoria Nugent.

As for the law change, i'm not sure on the exact text, but i spoke to my friend's brother who works in the field of law and he told me that the charge is EQUIVALENT to that of manslaughter. they dont count it as actual manslaughter.
