What you propose would require a Constitutional amendment regarding new rules for impeachment.

Yes, I know... And I'd like some fucking Democrats to start working on this ASAP.

I just find it funny how we are a government of the people, yet the people can't fire elected officials for lying, cheating, stealing, backstabbing and fucking over the American public.

It's like, as long as you GET IN, you have carte blanche to fuck over anyone you want, as long as... say it for me MistaUNGA... YOU DONT BREAK ANY LAWS.

Problem is, THEY MAKE THE LAWS.

And after 200 years of human greed, I think we need to sort some shit out.

2. Just a question, but do you really believe invading Iraq and having thousands of American solders die is justified? Even four years after we supposedly "won" the war?

Have the ends been justified by the means? Absolutely not. For what we've gotten out of this war (nothing), we've put far too much in. I think most of us are in agreement on that. However, the initiall reasons to go, I felt, were valid. Hindsight is 20/20.

Angry white republican boy, that obviously touched a nerve.

How so? My response wasn't angry or indignant in anyway. He's absolutely right about what I am. I'm not ashamed or embarassed. However, the only reason that I have not yet re-registered as Libertarian is because I am going to support Ron Paul for President in 2008, and he's on the Republican ticket. Otherwise I'd be Libertarian.

Yea Im sure that wouldnt recruit more insurgents to the ranks, ya know firebombing indiscriminately.

Comparing this with Iraq is absolutely ludicrous, and shows how much you know about foreign policy.

First, I never compared the Iraq situation to Israel. All I said was that you don't hear about all those car bombings like we did daily before. Shows how well you can understand English.

Napalm is a much nastier death than a bullet or rocket or missile. Burning, along with suffocating/drowning, is one of the most painful ways to die. I understand these people have a very strong conviction to their cause, and that it will not deter many. But, I do feel it would deter at least a small percentage, thereby giving us SOME more leverage. Anyways, it's just an opinion, and the military will by no means implement this tactic.
-On a side note, compare the destruction by Atomic Bomb of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, compared with the firebombing of Dresden. In a single day, the Firebombing of Dresden resulted in more casualties and far greater destruction. The flipside is that in Japan, more EVENTUAL deaths were caused than INITIAL, and the ground remained radioactive.
Firebombing/Napalm imo is far more destructive than missile strikes.

And Palestine is a smaller country with absolutely no authority except what Israel offers it, If the palestinians had more weapons besides a few qassam rockets and mortars and ak47's they would (on a long enough) timeline push the Jews out of Israel.

First of all, Palestine isn't a country. Shows what you know about foreign politics. The jews won't get pushed out of Israel until the entire Mid East unites against them (which probably won't happen, the Slims in Iraq can't even stop fighting each other for God's sake!)

I never said I agreed with it, I only said it wasn't illegal. Isn't fucking over other people the essense of Capitalism?

OK, so you get rid of Bush...then what? Cheney? Will that make you all happy? So you kcik 'em both out and who're you left with...Pelosi! Jesus! Just put a gun in my mouth instead! Who's after that? I doubt it gets any better.

Like him or not there is nothing worthy of impeachment. And frankly I'm weary of all the rabid Bush hatred thats been spewn for the last half a decade. I'll be glad to see him move on but I look at the crop of up-n-comers and my heart sinks. Its a sad time in American politics if you ask me.

And who exactly are you going to drop napalm on? In WWII it was total warfare, State vs State, The only way to win the war was to have a total commitment of the civilian populace to win the war, and most of all to bring the war to the other civilians.

In Iraq, we are occupieing a country the size of Texas, We are trying to put in a "democracy", It wont happen due to the nature of their culture. Napalming their infrastructure would only further alienate the populace, in proportion theirs around 300,000 coalition forces including IP and ING, If their wasnt a civil war in the country, the US would be out on their ass. The shiites are using the americans like tools, to fight the Sunni's when they are done they will turn on the US.

You just watch and see.

Thanks for replying in a civilized manner. Now on to the debate at hand. Would you please elaborate as to exactly why you think invading Iraq was justified in the first place?

What about lying under oath? That's what got Clinton impeached. Bush lied under oath as he was sworn in, when he promised to uphold and defend the constitution. Later he was calling it "just a goddamned piece of paper."

qft, but check out Ron Paul. He's the man for the job. :yesnod:

As I said, the military wouldn't implement this tactic. This is an "if I were in charge..." idea of mine. And I wouldn't pussy-foot around it. I would have either waited, or if we HAD to go, I would have asked Congress to formally declare war. I am thankful it did not come to that.

Oh, I don't doubt it.

It was reported (and I can't remember by whom) that there was a level of certainty that Iraq posed an imminent danger and that they had WMDs. A pre-emptive strike against Iraq was supposed to save American CIVILIAN lives in event of attack. Therefore, we executed our incursion. As I said, hindsight is 20/20. Looking back, we know that the data was false, there are no WMDs, and that there probably wasn't a real immediate threat. However, who knows what could have happened had Saddam remained in power this whole time?

As I said before, I'm not trying to defend what Bush has done, and I'm not saying it's right. I've done drugs; I've realized how fucked up our government is, and how much they lie. It's ridiculous. BUT, I think, and I assume most others do too, as corrupt as it is, it is still better to live in America than anywhere else in the world.

lol touche!

My ideal solution for America is to retreat and dissolve all foreign bases, secure our borders, and focus on our domestic problems first. I think if we got our hands out of other people's pockets, and stayed out of matters not concerning us, America wouldn't be the most hated nation in the world. We have a lot of "me" work to do before we work on "you".
