I like how people think they believe in things. What the fuck are you thinking? What the fuck do you think you know? Yes, answer those questions. I don't care how obscure they are. Your ambiguity is far more disturbing.

Impeach Bush for what, may I ask? What actual crimes has he committed, that there is proof of?

Misinformation about Iraq? Write that off to him being fed misinformation by the CIA...

What else have you got?

As I see it, there is no legitimate reason to impeach Bush, other than all the Dems are butt-hurt that they lost 2 elections in a row to a retard...

Re: Want Bush impeached? [Re: Penguarky Tunguin]

I still fail to see any broken laws. Like I said, people are just butt-hurt about what he has done in office. Although I may not necessarily agree with all of his decisions, to the best of my knowledge, he has not broken any laws HIMSELF (thus he is un-impeachable). He has covered his bases, and his tracks, and nothing can be directly linked to him.

Quote:
1. He lied us into war in Iraq. According to the U.S. media-ignored British "Downing Street Memo," he "fixed" intelligence around a pre-determined policy of preemptive war. Results: 100,000 Iraqi civilian deaths; about 1800 U.S. soldiers dead in two wars, 100s of thousands wounded and traumatized.

The excuse given was that the CIA fed him mis-information. He didn't "lie". He gave mis-information, which, "to his knowledge" was true. Whether or not he really knew it was false, is unknown. His base is covered. Blame the CIA.

Quote:
2. Under his watch, the U.S. suffered its worst terrorist attack on its soil. He opposed an official investigation, then stalled for months on testifying before a hand-picked committee. Finally testified behind closed doors.

Again, no law broken. Under FDR, the U.S. suffered its first attack on U.S. soil since the Civil War. His fault? Yes. He knew the Japs were coming. Broken laws? Nope.

Quote:
3. He was "elected" under dubious circumstances in 2000.
4. He was "elected" under dubious circumstances in 2004.

Butt-hurt, STFU. Although the election MAY have been fixed (which I believe it wasn't), HE didn't personally do it himself, or at least I'm willing to bet there isn't any evidence leading DIRECTLY to him. In 2000, that is because of the Florida Supreme Court and JEB BUSH. 2004, Dems, sorry, your candidate, John Kerry, just blew donkey balls. You want to win, put up a better candidate.

Quote:
5. He has approved (and his Attorney General Gonzales has re-defined) torture at Guantanamo, Abu Ghraib, Bagram and elsewhere, while simultaneously opposing the International Criminal Court established to check such abuses. According to Amnesty International, the United States has established a Soviet-style "gulag" of torture around the world.

6. He failed to support the Kyoto Protocols, reducing greenhouse gases, but worked to open up Alaska's ANWR to drilling-despoiling an eco-system and increasing greenhouse gases.

I STILL fail to see any broken laws. A president may not be impeached for broken INTERNATIONAL laws, especially if he has them re-written. I'm not defending what he's done, I'm just saying he's covered his ass, and re-directed the blame.

Quote:
7. He chose Halliburton toady Dick Cheney to be his running mate-twice.

OH MY GOD! GOD FORBID A PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE CHOOSE A RUNNING MATE! It doesn't matter. Shut the fuck up.

Quote:
8. He has attempted to pack the courts with ideologue-judges intent on overthrowing Roe v. Wade, and institutionalizing the police-state abuses of Patriot Acts I and II.

Last time I checked, it is the responsibility of the President to nominate those who he sees fit to serve on the bench of the Supreme Court, regardless of how the Constituency feels. The Congress may not allow the nomination to come to fruition. Checks and balances, he is well within his Constitutional Presidential powers to do this. No broken law.

Quote:
9.His "No Child Left Behind" education policies have replaced learning with testing and allowed military recruiters access to our schools, cajoling our children with military options before their minds have had a chance to open, question and challenge.

The President has "suggestive" power over the Legislature. He doesn't force them to enact his laws, but they were enacted because of a Republican Congress. Still no broken laws. 9 down, 16 to go...:shake:

Quote:
10.He is attempting to dismantle the Social Security system that has ensured "peace and freedom" for tens of millions of working Americans for seven decades ("peace" of mind and "freedom" from economic crises)-- rights hard-won by Labor and Progressives in decades-long struggles.

Take an Economics class. Pure and simple. You will learn that SS will be bankrupt by 2012, and that if nothing is done it WILL collapse. SS is not a retirement plan. It is meant as an addition to a pre-existing private retirement fund. Privatizing a Social Security-like system in Chile has been EXTREMELY BENEFICIAL. Look it up. Privitization of SS is the most logical choice. Again, no law broken.

Quote:
11. He has allied himself with Right-wing ideologues to curtail or abolish stem-cell research vital to the conquest of debilitating and fatal diseases.

12. He has failed to develop a coherent energy policy-except to prosecute wars for other peoples' resources. He fails to acknowledge the reality and impending disasters of Global Warming.

No laws broken.

Quote:
13. He has continued the Globalization project of his predecessors: outsourcing jobs, hollowing our middle class.

Unfortunate, agreed. Capitalism at its finest.

Quote:
14. He has undermined the legitimate protective protocols of the C.I.A., politicizing the agency, awarding positions on the basis of ideological orthodoxy rather than merit and astute analysis.

15. He has subjugated his Administration to Neocon ideologues like Richard Perle, William Kristol and Douglas Feith; men who have endorsed the "settlement," expansionist and Wall-them-in policies of Ariel Sharon, sowing the seeds of anti-Arab racism, war and destruction in the Middle East for generations to come.

16. In spite of his rhetoric about freedom and democracy, he has allied himself with dictators in Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Egypt and elsewhere. He has increased the flow of arms to these states and others, fomenting instability, turmoil and war.

Is this guy done yet? All of these reasons so far have been bullshit, and these are no different. THERE ARE NO BROKEN LAWS!

Quote:
17. He chose Rumsfeld as DoD Secretary twice, in spite of Rumsfeld's obvious failure to adequately plan for the post-Saddam era in Iraq, inducing massive "collateral damage," the looting of ancient treasures, and infrastructure destruction in a country we were legally and morally bound to rehabilitate.

Again, it is the President's responsibility to appoint a Sec of Defense, and as iffy as a choice it may have been -need I say it again?- THERE STILL IS NO BROKEN LAW!

Quote:
18. He endorses the weaponization of space, "Rods from Gods," and other exotic, Star-Wars technologies to establish a twenty-first century American global empire that is doomed to create an arms race with China and other opposing coalitions, sowing discord and wasting the resources of the world.

19. He has presided over the most egregious media consolidation in the nation's history. While we have had "yellow journalism" and other media abuses throughout our two centuries of Republic/Empire, we have never suffered the consolidation of power that we have today. He has presided over the emasculation and cowering of PBS, while his disinformation troops have peddled fraudulent stories and comments to "reporters" like Judith Miller, Armstrong Williams and Jeff Guckert-"Gannon," poisoning the well of information, adding to the general confusion and Goebbelsization of our news.

Wow. You're retarded if you believe this is a legitimate reason to impeach.

Quote:
20. He lied about, misled, or misunderstood the astronomical costs of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. He continues to do so, diverting tax money for education, health care, the EPA, transportation and social infrastructure into war-making and destruction.

It is the responsibility of the President to execute laws as he sees fit, thus, even through mis-use of funds, he is enforcing the resolutions allowing conflict in Iraq and Afghanistan. 5 to go.

Quote:
21. He has continued and enlarged the depraved Clinton policy of using depleted uranium on the battlefield; a policy bound to cause massive suffering and death to Americans and others for generations to come.

First of all, if it is a Clinton policy, HE ISN'T RESPONSIBLE FOR ITS INITIAL IMPLEMENTATION! Second, where is the evidence that it is "bound to cause..."? Agent Orange caused a lot of problems for US soldiers in Vietnam, did LBJ or Nixon get impeached for that? Nope. Moving right along...

Quote:
22. He has alienated our traditional allies and more than a billion Muslims around the world. He has ransacked the good will extended to the nation after the 9/11 attacks, leading a crusade of vengeance and reprisal, most often against innocents, judging without sufficient evidence, arrogating to himself a crooked, self-righteous Texas sheriff's power to execute without justice.

Again, no law broken. Not defending the action, but get over it.

Quote:
23. Under his watch, millions more Americans have been added to the ranks of the uninsured while health-care costs have exploded. His answer to these and other pressing social problems appears to be faith-based charities-in other words, preaching to the choir while stealing from the pews.

Yep. It's Bush's fault. Couldn't be the explosion of illegal immigrants coming in and getting free health care and such... Let's blame Bush.

Quote:
24. Under his watch, the North Koreans have, apparently, developed eight nuclear weapons and Israel has continued to increase and refine its arsenal-now estimated as high as five hundred.

Let's impeach Bush for breaking international law again. Oh wait, thats Kim Jung Il breaking laws. Let's blame Bush anyways. And there is no injunction for Israel having nuclear weapons...

Quote:
25. He has murdered the English language.

Ooooo! I think this one is my favorite. Let's impeach Bush for mis-speaking publicly! Oh no! I say we blame our local politicians for being so accommodating to immigrants. I still can't figure out why a DMV test can be given in Spanish, Korean, Vietnamese etc when ALL THE STREET SIGNS ARE IN ENGLISH! We have totally disregarded our English language for political correctness. But let's blame Bush!

OK, that took me a long time to write up. I understand if not everybody reads everything, but at least take this with you: It would be far more beneficial to your cause if at least some of you would take a simply PoliSci or Civics class, and actually READ the Constitution. Do you know what impeachment really means? All impeachment is is a formal charge of crimes leading to investigation. It might also help if you found him breaking US laws! Just because you don't like the way he's doing things, doesn't mean you can list reasons for impeachment. For impeachment to occur, LAWS MUST HAVE BEEN BROKEN!

When Clinton was impeached, it was because he committed perjury. Catch Bush lying under oath, and then you'll get your excuse for impeachment. Not necessarily removal from office tho.

Don't be such an asshat. Get a life, and get over this bullshit. He's the president, like it or not.

I like how you admit all his idiocy, yet hide behind "he broke no law". Maybe we should start impeaching Presidents who suck so bad at their job?

Why can't we fire someone who is so obviously incompetent?

You agree he is an idiot, and we probably both agree that an idiot shouldn't be President, even if Daddy was...

I can only assume you are a wealthy white republican boy?

Damn you're good! haha. However, I stand by my statements. I absolutely agree that he's made more than a few mistakes as president, but TECHINCALLY, he has broken no laws, like it or not.

A president may not be impeached just for doing a shitty job. Look at Herbert Hoover. What you propose would require a Constitutional amendment regarding new rules for impeachment.

I actually feel sorry for Bush. Look at a picture of him when he first took office, and look at a recent photo. You can see how much he's aged in the last 7 years, and I can only imagine how much stress he's been under. Regardless of stance, I'm sure he feels terrible about having to have all these young Americans die. Nobody likes it, but SOME recognize it as being necessary.

The reasons given to go to war were enough for me: get rid of Saddam, help Iraqis whatever. I DON'T think we've gone about it in the right way AT ALL.

As I've said in other posts, if we used napalm on the insurgency, they'd have a lot less volunteers.

Also notice that the car-bombing in Israel has ceased somewhat?

1. This argument could be made for anyone and in several different manners, but his stress is self induced.  :frown: for him?

2. Just a question, but do you really believe invading Iraq and having thousands of American solders die is justified?  Even four years after we supposedly "won" the war?

Angry white republican boy, that obviously touched a nerve.

Yea Im sure that wouldnt recruit more insurgents to the ranks, ya know firebombing indiscriminately.

And Palestine is a smaller country with absolutely no authority except what Israel offers it, If the palestinians had more weapons besides a few qassam rockets and mortars and ak47's they would (on a long enough) timeline push the Jews out of Israel.

Comparing this with Iraq is absolutely ludicrous, and shows how much you know about foreign policy.
