Why? He stole it once, he stole it twice..
The second time was a lot easier for him to steal as well because he was already president.

LOL! No wonder the result is what it is. Nice framing of questions!
Quote:
Yes, between the secret spying, the deceptions leading to war and more, there is plenty to justify putting him on trial. 86% No, like any president, he has made a few missteps, but nothing approaching "high crimes and misdemeanors." 4.4% No, the man has done absolutely nothing wrong. Impeachment would just be a political lynching. 7.4% I don't know. 1.8%
Jesus Christ on a crutch! Way to misrepresent reality or what.
"Secret spying"? By this I presume they mean his authorizing the NSA to intercept enemy communications. So sorry, but that has been accepted practice in time of war since ... oh... forever.
"Deceptions" leading to war? By this I presume they mean he believed what all the major intelligence agencies in the world, almost all Democrats, and Bill Clinton and even John Kerry -- hell, even Hussein's own generals -- believed: that Hussein had not destroyed all his known stocks of bio and chem weaponry nor his bio and chem weaponry programs. This they call "deception"?

I suspect foul play with that survey. I was reading Bush's approval ratings from many different polling agencies the other day, and most are around 35% approval, 5% unsure and 60% disapproval. That's a long way from 86% in favor of impeachment.
Edit: I just went back to take a second look at those results, and it let me vote again, so that's a pretty insecure online poll. No cookies, IP logging or anything.

You have to admit, "political lynching" also implies quite a bit. Either way, polls which place too many words into people's mouths tend not to be too well designed.

for fucks sakes, Everyone is blabing how there werent any WMDs. Saddam himself addmitted to having them after the persain gulf war, and his #2 guy in the airforce said that they had WMDs after saddam was captured. Ofcourse this didnt get widespread coverage in the media. surprise surprise.

hey why not? I am 35 now, so I am old enough...but i wouldnt know how to deal with the war that bush started, except to somehow stop it. After that I would decriminalize weed, shrooms and make them a simple ticket of giving out 50% of your stash to me, the president. Then you would have only half you stash left and no fines, jail time or nothing. Party on!!!

This thread proves how easy it is to get side tracked.
it goes from politics to a pipe dream in about ten seconds.
People here got it pretty well, even though the government lies and with holds information.
All i could honestly say about what has happened is that the government and president knowingly withhold vital information from us.

Fucking retards, they elected the guy in the first place. As far as I can tell we got just what we asked for. I'm no Bush fan but I don't think he's done anything impeachable. Then again I don't think Clinton did either.

yeah....if you don't like the 'leadership' you get them out of there. it's in the US declaration of independance. In order to do this, you'd need a lot of people to think for themselves, and have trust in others. until then, the powers that be will control what goes on.
-------------------- Annnnnnd I had a light saber and my friend was there and I said "you look like an indian" and he said "you look like satan" and he found a stick and a rock and he named the rock ooga booga and he named the stick Stick and we both thought that was pretty funny. We got eaten alive by mosquitos but didn't notice til the next day. I stepped on some glass while wading in the swamp and cut my foot open, didn't bother me til the next day either....yeah it was a good time, ended the night by buying some liquor for minors and drinking nips and going to he diner and eating chicken fingers, and then I went home and went to bed.

he should be impeached because of that shitty smirk he gives when he does press conferences and someone asks him a real question.
