This idea is the WORST thing a girl could do to protect herself from rape. It has ZERO prevention value. It only hurts the guy after he wrestles the girl to the ground and forcefully penetrates her.
Unless, of course, she wears a sign on her forhead that says that she has one of those barbs inside her. This would only work for rapists who know how to read, and in that case, the rapist could just remove it.

women need to understand that theyre physically powerless against most men. They need to carry a knife or a pistol and know how to use it sanely.

I don't see how watching another human be mutilated will help the rape victim be whole again though. It will certainly make the overall experience much worse.

And again, If you have the time to place knives into your vagina, you have the time to load a gun anyway. Why would a woman even want a rapist in her vag to get cut in the first place? Give them some real weapons.
