Entertaining and not to be taken seriously

It did everything it was supposed to do, just barely establish a main character and then pack the rest of the movie with some vicious fight scenes and one-liners against a basic but effective plot

Great soundtrack as well

Actually the Death Proof soundtrack was excellent, far better than the sleazy bassline that made up Planet Terror

I saw Grindhouse here in Austin at Alamo Drafthouse last night.

Kurt Russel in death proof was fucking awesome.
I didn't really like the shitty acting from all the girls in death proof though.

Plantet Terror I thought had better acting but I stilled liked Death Proof more.

I think that both films may be the best by each of their directors. A bold statement I know, but fuck I loved Grindhouse. I'm taking some LSA and seeing it again Thursday or Friday.

I'm supposed to see it tonight for the first time

I recommend everyone goes and sees it though soon while you can BECAUSE they are planning on splitting the movies up, adding a bit more content and marketing them as seperate movies(because they didn't do to well in the box office as they thought it would and supposedly their "research" shows it's because of the length...which makes no fucking sense to me because people were willing to sit through boring lord of the rings movies :tongue:
