Electric cut-out exhaust

So im thinking about getting an electric cut-out exhaust system, do any of you have one?? And Do you think it would sound good with a V6 engine?

ok, there are a few things to consider here. reasoning for doing so? do you have to pass emmissions? which motor/car do you plan on doing this to? opening up your exhaust with a dump in a non-forced induction engine typicaly leads to a loss in torque, if any gains are to be had it will be in horse power in the higher rpms so 8-10k ish depending on cams and a few other variables. it will be noisy, annoyingly loud. i have one on my talon, my turbo provides all the back pressure that i need to keep things in check. the sound is not something that i am fond of and i usualy only flip it at the track, unless theres some tool next to me that thinks hes fast because he cut the exhaust off his honda. its a 3 inch dump. i havent dyno'd since i put it on so i dont have hp or tq numbers yet. i think that the gains for power are negligable but getting hot engine gasses away from my turbo faster will prolong the life of every thing in the exhaust path.

I have been there and back, although it was somthing i had to do i dont recomend it for others, at least not with my travel agent.

Well i was going for exactly that. To scare the little suped up honda next to me at the stop light. And also i wanted to put another one on my 93 GMC safari mini van ( i use it to haul things and what not its a work van) because it would be funny because no one would expect to hear this van reving like a muscle car!!
