I get it for free but less than a buck a pound to your door , sounds good.

The horse manure is the substrate. You need to read up on casings.

thanks i know that, but i was wondering if you can use dried shredded i guess you can.

i know that i will need a casing layer too.

any tips on what to do to this to make it contam free?

search for pasteurization...

There's lots of methods...depending on how much you need to prep at once.

also nebody know a quick ratio for dried shredded horse poo to colonized substrate? prefably in pound ratios

5:1 is a good place to start. 10:1 is about the lowest anyone would recommend.
