I've never tried myself. I think I read it gets too packed down when you mist it and makes it hard for the mycelium to break through. My cat is trying a 50/50 manure and vermiculite casing with some spent cakes. She'll let me know how it went.

Say, can I have some of your purple berries?
Yes, I've been eating them, for six or seven weeks now, haven't got sick once.

If you used manure, I would not mist. It will stay moist and humid enough for your first and possibly your second flush. I don't use nutritious casings, but hear they work well.

You tried the search engine? No?
I did. Heres a search for using manure for a casing.

Horse manure is better. And better yet when it has been composted.

If you do bulk with manure and/or straw, perlite isn't really needed until maybe later and if you case you really should use it at all. It will give you too much moisture and that will cause aborts.
