or shit, actually couldn't i just poke a bunch of holes in a rubbermaid box and fill it with polyfill? same concept right? Im trying to do the thing where you put air pumps in a box and seal it in.

if ur trying to make a laminar flow hood, you prolly want a 2x2x1 ft hepa. Ebay is the best place, i picked one up for $45 shipped. Then you need a blower (squirrelcage/pole), about 400-600 cfm which can also be purchased on ebay but that aint too cheap. Then you simply build a wood box to mount the hepa in and the blower blowering into it so it goes out the hepa.

oh if you just want a filtered air input for a tub or something just glue some tyvek over the fish pumps air intake

And, the pump will burn up in a day. :eek:

Filter on an air pump needs to be more porous, than that.

What is it, the poster needs a hepa filter FOR?
Laminar flowhood is ONE THING.
Everything else, IS ANOTHER.

Use an auto engine air filter.
Check NAPA, and look at them.
