can mushrooms be growin in a terrarium?

May sound like a dumb question, but was thinking about using my 30 gallon tank and case the entire bottom of it, then put a light on a timmer , air-pump in a hepa filter box and i guess some way to get the humidity up. Would this be proper?

Use the search function. You are referring to a "mono tub".:fearandloathing: The only bad thing about that is that if a part of it gets contaminated you can't isolate it.

i dont think hes referring to a monotub, those are self reliant on controlling the environment, its a set and go. hes tlaking about a fruiting chamber, with an airpump, and an added way to control humidity.

do you plan on growing cakes or grains?

if cakes, i would suggest lining th ebotom with moist perlite.

Read the teks, reread about 10 times, look at the photo gallery, read the last 50-100 threads, and then you should be able to get things together. You must understand that people seem to use this forum for trouble shooting/clarifying.

People tend to ignore questions that are super simple to find the anwer to.
