Hydrated Lime
    #6705779 -

lately ive been havign a hard time getting my hands on some hydrated lime so im wondering about using the closest thing to it

from what i know hydrated lime would be Calcium hydroxide Ca(OH)2
and what i have found around here that i can buy would be Calcium Oxide CaO so i wanted to ask if can use it in the same way as hydrated lime or maybe proces it to achieve something like it
peace

not even close to the same, luckily you can find feed and seed stores almost anywhere, a farmers co-op is also great for the rural areas, also check the
smaller nurseries and garden centers, they usualy carry what home depot doesnt

the oystershell will work, if you can pulverize it to a powder it'll break down faster, it still takes a while

I thought hydrated limestone was calcium carbonate? but ya, oyster shells are a pretty good substitute and I'm pretty sure that coral is made up of caco3 too but I'm not 100% sure.
