It's a good 3 hours worth of documentary but quite convincing...

I won't go into it until some of you have watched it....you might want to download and burn to dvd since it's so long.

My 2 cents.
UFO's/Aliens are actually japanese human beings. Sure they're evolved thousands of years. But think about it. The most common depiction of an alien is the shortbeing with sliver eyes, big heads/brain and one hell of knack for traveling across the universe (technology).

Now stand that alien beside every type of human on the planet.. which one does it resemble the most. Voila.

Sure, consider the American piece of junk that re-entered the atmosphere being propelled upwards due to it exploding on one end and then in turn pushing on one end of the Russian piece of junk, causing the latter to spiral followed shortly thereafter by its own explosion.

Not random. I had some help with this one. Aliens who expended the considerable energy to build a craft and travel to Earth wouldn't make such a stupid blunder.

it would be ignorant to say that there is no chance of any beings existing in any of the innumerable planets in the vast amount of galexies in existence.

:yesnod:  The odds are far greater that we are not alone than that we are alone. 

If you consider the means in which we are trying to contact extraterrestrial intelligence is through radio waves which we ourselves have only had going into space for 40 years out of the four billion years this planet has been here you would realize what kind of problem it is to contact "aliens."  Just because we have been unsuccessful in contacting others by no means tells us they do not exist.  Not only that but suppose the ETI's were far advanced, much similar to the difference in intellect between humans and ants.  Do you think you would give a shit if you saw a handful of ants trying to contact you?  Would you try to help them build their colony?  Especially if they were aggressive and killed each other?

Our intellects are about the same, take my word for it.

Human society is on a fast development track. 60 years ago the transistor was invented. Now we have nanotechnology and a worldwide communications network. Life expectancies have doubled. The number one killer in our country isn't infectious disease, it's heart disease because we eat _too much food_. We are a society of great abundance. When was the last time you were worried about your very survival? Only 1% of the world population fits into that category whereas 60 years ago it was more like a third.

To expand on my earlier statement:

We have been actively searching for intelligent life for approximately 40 years. If there were an intelligent life form out there listening for such signals and sending signals back they would have to be within 20 light years of us in order for us to have received even as much as one transmission back. Even at the speed of light, it takes an EXTREMELY long time to explore space. It takes signals 20 minutes to reach Mars and daylight 8.5 minutes from the Sun to Earth, let alone another star.

Looks like a classic case of a rocket launch to me. Used to see things like this all the time from Las Vegas when they would launch rockets out of Vandenburg. Sometimes it would produce pretty spectacular light shows when conditions were right.

I took this picture of the aftermath of some launches they did one night. The contrails from several consecutive rocket launches were disipating. The light reflecting through them was breaking up into all spectrums of the rainbow. The picture doesn't do justice to how beautiful it was.
