The only downside so far is, I had not expected spores till next week, so I'm not ready for them yet!

I had anticipiated the opportunity to re-read tek instructions till I could visualize the whole process. Now I'm trying not to rush, but at same time get things running.

Yes DO NOT RUSH! Patience is the key! I know how hard it is to wait with your first try because I couldn't wait and didn't take the right precautions toasted all my jars. Don't make the same mistake! I am waiting for some Pan Trops from Ryche as we speak and all I can say is YIPPIE! I have only been growing for about a year and a half so I can't be as much help as the others here but I will try and help with any newbie question you have. I hope everything works out for ya and the best of luck to you!

As the previous replies state, patience is half the battle.
And don't forget to use the basket or insert that goes in the bottom of the cooker.
Good luck.

Don't pack the substrate! I screwed up my first batch of jars making that mistake. I think it is pretty common. The looser the substrate the better.

Well it took near all my strength, but I was able to hold off innoculating the jars till this AM. I Started the pressure cooker yesterday about 7:00 PM. Cooked for an hour, let stand. By 10:00 PM the cooker was cool to touch, but I was strong. I left the lid on and let sit overnight.

So this morning I got up early, turned the air and ceiling fans off, went about wiping the entire dining room down with alcohol, put on my long sleeve Lab coat (gift from wife) washed hands, covered nose and face. and got setup for my first "operation"

I sterilised the needle before and after each jar. Time will tell.

I now have 2 weeks to prepare and test drive the new grow chamber

Off to go Lurk.

Peace

I want to try Ryche! I just started my first ever batch too, with PF spores. They seem to be working good after 1 week. Does anybody know if you can use any kind of spores for the MMGG?
