 Poppy seed wash...

Could I wash lets say about 25 lbs of poppy seeds with water for about an hour or so... and then allow that water to evaporate to get alkaloids??from my understanding the outer shell of the seeds would still contain alkaloids.... and also would I still be able to go out and use the seeds?

Morphine is not really water soluble in other than really hot water. The reason you can drink cold poppy tea is that the alkaloids stay suspended(but not dissolved). Because of this the things you wash of will to a very low extent be alkaloids. You will not get enough to dose unless you have pounds of seeds.

Mainly organic solvents, ethanol. But if you use that you will kill the seeds.
Anyhow the seeds of 25 pods are not nearly enough anyhow. Just empty out the seeds and sow them. Then grind your pods and make tea from them.

Oh fuck. sorry thought he said pods
But what I said is till facts. very poor solubility in plain water and most organic solvents will kill the seeds.
He could try and add sodium bisulphite to the water to increase the alkaloid solubility. I am not sure this will leave the seeds unharmed but I think it is rather safe..

If you add certain ions the morphine will form water-soluble salts but in the form found in the plant only codeine is freely soluble in water.
I'll try to find some better references but it might take a while.

cold water will work just fine.
hot water will pull out the stored oils and sugars
that will turn your final product into a sorta dough-like consistancy.
popy seed also is rather high in cadmium, so the more you extract , the more cadmium you get.
25 lbs has a cadmium potential of about 4.5 mg
you do NOT want to consume 4.5 mb of cadmium suspended in a gastric soluable absorbable medium such as O putty.

Use the search feature, little to no success with poppy seed extracts. Dont waste the seeds on that, grow them so you can get real O.

i have had great sucess.
and if you use cold water, you can still sew the seeds, as long as you do so quickly so they dont mold.
one time i gave 2 kilos of poppyseed the wash and drank the whole 2 litres :P
i couldnt walk right for 2 days.
felt fairly ill. but only in the way that is normal.
itching, vertigo, comfort, gushy dopey. y'all oughtta know
i dont reccomend it really. not really a fun time,
we should all be having fun times, not dope times.
