Chicken anybody?
    #6584173 -

Somebody posted a video of a chicken factory on the boards before but this takes the cake. I can't believe they treat these animals like this. It's not about to make me go vegetarian or anything but goddamn this is pretty bad.

The guy doing the double footed jump stomp on that chicken towards the end was ruthless.

The slaughter of animals for food has never been pretty. Boneless chicken breast are good for you and for the most part are fairly inexpensive. An impoprtant consideration when you are trying to feed a family on a limited budget.

I say raise and kill more chickens.

Holy shit man, that is fucking brutal. I'm a little lost for words right now. I feel a little sick. I just hope that shit like that doesn't happen in Australia, wouldn't the RSPCA or in America's case the ASPCA come down hard on those guys? I just need some assurance that this is a VERY rare occurance, because right now I'm fucking so full of rage and disappointment at the human race. I hope those fucking hideous and sick rednecks get cancer, or aids or any form of horrible disease.

FUCK!

I'm not going to watch this, because I know that where my chicken comes from (Tyson), in the rare event I buy/eat chicken, is treated fairly well. Various outfits for Tyson are actually free-range or semi-free-range, and are only kept in their pens for feeding and sleep. Tyson also does not allow the use of hormones (at least not the branches here in TN)

Chickens are rarely even handled until they are dead and being processed.

Ive posted a similar but less brutal version in the google documentaries sticky thread..

Alot of the chickens we buy have these scabs on their knees, you can still see these when you buy them.
These scabs come from them kneeling in their own shit and piss.

They fatten them up too fast and their legs are barely strong enough for them to stand.
They end up lame wallowing in their own piss and the ammonia burns.

I didn't watch the vid... I really don't want to see animals mistreated.

While at work about a month ago I was unloading this chemical (36% hydrogen peroxide) and came across a packing slip that had the LD information of the animals it was tested on.:( I felt so bad for rabbits and rats.

Sad. However, I'm no idiot and I realize the livestock industry will always be around. PETA and other animal rights organizations are way too idealistic in the scope of their goals. Everyone isn't going to stop wearing fur and eating their hamburgers. What animal rights organizations should work for first - the humane treatment of animals in captivity/sent to slaughter. Start small and work your way up rather than shocking the world with ridiculous ad campaigns that deter progress and trigger contempt within camps of opposite thought.

I bet you have and not even known it.

Allot of the processed chicken products are mechanically separated meats that have been ground and then pressed.

This includes any type of even vaguely usable meat on the bird. From feet on up.

Yummy

Raising your own chickens is good for your yard and good for you too.
The taste of a healthy well cared for animals if far better then any industrialised animals. A life should not be treated like a products, it should be treated with respect and cared for. I have talked with many foreign people. People that lived on farms and raised their own food. They say that the chicken and meat here doesn't taste good. it's not the same.

No the only people that will make a difference is you. Not PETA not the big business farm.

The small farmer that raises enough food and brings it to the local market at a fair price. Every town should have there own farmers and livestock.

Say a war happened. Martial Law in effect. How will we get our food if the roadways are closed or blown up? How will we get the beef and the chicken from across the country? people will starve. We won't be able to protect ourselves. We will need our gov to feed us.
Thats what they want, they want to control the resources and the food. There by controlling us and remaining in power.

Our communities need to not be so supportive of industrialization of the food industry. We need to work at being self reliant. Whether on our own or as a community effort.
