Lets talk about 'The Police'

#6566245 - 02/14/07 12:40 PM (19 years, 8 months ago)

So as we all know, The Police have reunited, and have announced the first leg of what is expected to be a World Tour.

Anybody dig The Police and are looking to go? I never really have listened to them outside of their radio stuff. But I damn well know who Stuart Copeland is...as well as Sting.

Copeland is a mad man on the drums....def has some licks. Im a huge Oysterhead fan and love listening to him with Les and Trey.

Its obvious that Sting doesnt need money, so this renunion has come from the "heart" which is cool to see. I read an interview with Copeland and the reason they broke up was Sting became a control freak and was writing most of the songs....and didnt allow the other guys to get involved in the writing process....they just played pre written parts.

So anyway, i caught the grammy performance..thought it was preety good. They sounded preety tight after such a hiatus. And now they are headlining Bonnaroo in the thick of a US Tour. Hitting the major markets....no BS there haha.

I dont think im going to go see them..but who knows.

Anybody planning on going/Thoughts on The Police?

I think its fucking awsome they have reunited!

I was pretty imarpartial to their music up until a week or so ago when i ate some liberty caps and ended up watching a live concert video of them.

Now I have a new found love of their style and music.
