Ergot isn't an endangered species, it's just very hard to catch. It lives high up in the amazon jungle and has really long legs so it can outrun pretty much anything. It also has really good camouflage. That's why there are so few acid manufacturers -- not only are they impossible to breed in captivity, but they're so hard to catch in the first place.

If your thinking to cultivate erogt for the production of LDS don't bother. Your best bet and easer to get a phd.

If you wish to cultivate erogt for other reasons, still dont bother.

Why loss of the limbs due to limited blood circulation "St. Anthony's fire" hinting at burning sensations in the limbs........"convulsions, or death, due to limited circulation to the brain. Other symptoms include strong uterine contractions, nausea, seizures, and unconsciousness. Monks of the order of St. Anthony the Great specialized in treating ergotism victims with balms containing tranquilizing and blood circulation-stimulating plants; they were also skilled in amputations. Entire villages have been known to suffer ergotism after the village bakery used infected grain."

No you don't. And even if you did he would have to be pretty stupid to let someone know who would go around talking about it.

Nothing to waste with Foster's, you should pour it down the drain and be done with it.

the ergot fungus is a fairly common infection to mostly rye, but also wheat. It is very difficult and dangerous to cultivate ergot, and if you were to make acid you definately wouldn't cultivate ergot to do it.

It can be done, and has been done. I can't imagine anyone would openly admit to their experience with it here. And, if you were capable of doing the complicated process of harvestign your own ergot, you wouldn't need to ask about it here.

Theres's always three or four pieces of ergot in every 25 pound bag of rye I get. I suppose you could try saving them up. In the 1950's when the russians were buying a lot of rye grain from our farmers, the CIA figured they were getting it to harvest the ergot to make LSD as a weapon, so they started doing the same....thought I'd throw that in.
