I wanted to post some of the poems I wrote in my life here. I write in french normaly but I have some in english if anyone is interested and be free to post your poems too  :wink:

Night's getting over
But I'm still not sober
In hell theres no lights
Like thoses cold nights
Smoke freezing our brain
And killing our pain
We all try to survive
In life, head first we dive.
We are not afraid to die
And we shure like to fly
In the night we ride fast
We know that nothing last
The pain the love
It all fly away like a dove

We life in joy and pain

Sometimes a flower

The seasons continue
The cycle of life
Soon the leaves will fall
The tears will froze
Everything has turn

I was just jamming the Mad Season - Above album today. Definitely the best band formed in a rehab, but maybe your name refers to what the band name refers to and not actually the band.

I've forgotten how many times I've posted this poem

The Kite

Sailing across the concrete blue
The kite smiles, nods, and passes you.
Or was it you or me or he or she?
The kite doesn't know; it's only free.

Down the subways and through the trains
The kite in and exhales to forget it's pain.
Of food and junk and people galore
The kite's body is its no more.

Sitting on grass and burning it too.
The kite does everything but respond to you.
Green, verde, midori as well.
At this point in life, it's really quite swell.

Forever drowning in fountain drink.
The kite doesn't stop but always thinks.
Of how the miserable life began
Filled with laughter and empty plans.

Day or night, since when does time mean?
The kite no longer low-key screams.
Hamilton’s spurned, and Mary is gained.
The kite's control is no longer tamed!

Skipping and dipping and kissing the days,
The kite is always at serious play
With kings and queens and other such riches.
The kite's life has been strewn in stitches.

Loving the moon, and hating the sun.
The kite always has its horrible fun.
And one day, one year, one life perhaps.
The kite will shatter like aerial glass.

improvisation on a bug buzzing on my desk-

The beetle crawls, softly it seems. As soft as one could crawl with feelers and antennae- exoskeletal
He’s got wings on his back, the ability to fly short distances. The ability for instant change of scenery
He crawls, among the dead skin dust, fallen eyelashes, crumbs.
This martian landscape: the plastic sheen of the artificial wood grain, repeating every 36 inches or so
These airy boulders of lint and wrinkled paper. A cluster of granola keeps a loan rolled oat company
In the corner, near the tea bowl lies a metallic portrait. Lincoln, Washington, someone… doesn’t matter
Either way, he does not shine, he doesn’t seem to want to- The man on the coin, stoic, grim, forgotten neverwas.

It refer to both. I really like Mad Season. I still prefer Alice In Chains tho.

The Crow

A flurry of feathers!
A flurry of night!
The Crow is in another fight!

A beak like a knife!
Like a killer’s friend!
The Crow is brave he likes to pretend!

He blocks the light!
He blocks the breeze!
Damn The Crow with the happy disease!

He flies over your head!
He flies under your soul!
The Crow always skims the moral toll!

He caws with glee!
He caws with me!
He caws when the pleasant times must flee!

Bless The Crow!
And his feathery shame!
The Crow has accepted your contended game!

He will bargain the stars!

He will ensure your suspected doom!

Here he is now!
That avian whore!

damn it i wanna be thinking words like dialect and syphilis and spelling sleeping gaping wounds gargoyles of metaphor and braces of metal storms of iron with trap doors in scales arranged with beauty products under duck tape and spelling again that ever dreaded monster gripping finger correcting type a backspace here and there the backspace of regret or impulse on maiden falls to break tolling bells of poems long gone breath and all ales will follow forge a paradigm and model it my way jingle bells in Christmas forsaken to my faith a non existent drone of words left by a river and fall slow running low rhyme damn hard word to spell might get you in jail better bail like Cotton in a barn baking in the heat of midday sun waiting on a pun a word a bird a Cotton turd a comma would help a dot would save a syntax might do good and maybe i should or maybe this can go on and ona ndonnandonnaodn no matter what combination these keys are struck as long as words seem to form on a glowing screen be it metaphor be it gibberish or a new word probably making its way into the dictionary as we speak a google word a google verb a sold out crowed of followers in faith

here are some of mine :smile:

the continuum

Slowly,
the drop falls,
endless miles,
continuing, steadily.

The beams of light,
shed into thousand of millions of singular rays,
as they hit the drop,
fractalise,
each hope in itself,
but still,
useless in their singularity.

Eventually,
the drop hits soil,
the journey is over,
no more light,
no more reflection,
no more fractals,
the journey is over -

- and the long forgotten seedling sprouts.


the marble

wherever the marble is,
the entire world around it
is being captured inside.

from giants to dwarfs,
from female - to male.

yet being so small,
so unimportant,
the marble does not gain attention,
remains hidden
despite being visible.

as it rolls down the table,
it sees whatever may happen.

fake stories,
fake faces,
fake emotions,
fake life.

its all inside the marble,
reflected through its translucent pure glass body.

the marble sees it all.

it doesn't lie,
it doesn't tell stories.

it simply exists,
and yet,
it is more honest than anyone of us could ever be.
