I want to get a new board soon, I've got a 165 i think and i want a shorter one.
I would like to know what is the shortest board i could get considering iam about 5' 10" and have size 10 (UK) maybe thats a U.S 11.
Iam also VERY heavy at the moment but do plan to lose weight.

you can get by with anything that feels comfortable
Im 6'4 and I ride a 163, 165 is a long board
145-155 might be a nice size for you, you should check out
the brands selection of "wide" boards since you're heavier,
gives you more stability and float in the powder

I have considered such matters.

The general rule is to choose one that comes up somewhere between your chin and nose.

Whatever you like really. I see people your height on 155s or 157s a lot. I'm 6'1" and I ride a 160; I think I'm gonna be looking at a 162 next time around. Try a 150 and see if you like it.

Do you spend most of your time in the park? Cruisers? Backcountry?

Thanks guys, I think I'll try to get something around 150 and pretty wide too.

I don't get the chance to ride anything good as I'm from Scotland and all we've got is Aviemore in winter and dry slopes.
No chance of me gettin to go off kickers but i want a shorter board anyways.
